Welcome to the home of Piper 3D Printers.

Currently, we have 2 models of 3D printers Piper 1 and Piper 2 both are available for the public under CC license.

Piper 1 3D printer is highly scalable, self-replicating 3D printer.

It may have a bed size as small as 100×100 mm and as large as 500x500mm.
Its linear motion system is built on cheap 1/2 inch conduit pipes, which cost 3$ 10ft in the US. So if you want to expand your printer’s bed – spend 3$ more and cut new sizes (do not forget that you will need new belts as well).

Piper 2 is a more complicated machine.

It has CoreXY design and its printing volume is based on 2 things:
– Electronics Enclosure is designed for 300mm printer’s height
– Width and Depth of the printer are defined by use of the specific length of 8mm  guiding rods. So if you are looking to build 300x300mm printer look for 400mm rods. By default sizes for the frame are provided for 250x250mm print surface.
